Biography
From Llanelli to Los Angeles
Sophie spent parts of her childhood in both Wales and England, attending several schools before finishing her education in Llanelli. As a young adult she worked in retail, hospitality, a bakery and other everyday jobs. The prospect of travel and more creative work drew her toward entertainment.
She began with newspaper glamour modeling and promotional appearances in Britain. Television work on Babecast and exotic dancing in Birmingham helped her become comfortable with performance. In 2005, at 21, she traveled to California and entered the American film industry, working first with producers including Shane's World, Notorious and Legend Video.
The name Sophie Dee came partly from comparisons people made between her and British model Sophie Dahl. Over the following years she developed a recognizable identity of her own through feature productions, studio scenes and direct communication with fans.

Stepping away, then returning
By 2014 Sophie was describing herself as semi-retired from routine studio shooting. That shift gave her room for live appearances, convention work, independent online projects and acting opportunities. It did not mark an end to her life in entertainment.
In May 2019 she returned to professional filming with Vixen. Her appearance in Insatiable, later included in Racks 3, attracted renewed attention.
